Insider Shop Talk: Building Stronger Futures

Date and Time: TBD
Location: Online

Join us in May 2026, during Military Appreciation Month, for AISC’s quarterly Insider Shop Talk, an informal, conversational webinar series designed to connect steel fabrication professionals with real-world insights from peers across the industry. This session focuses on one of the most powerful--and often untapped--talent pipelines in today’s workforce: military veterans.

During this panel-style discussion, AISC member fabricators will share how they are successfully attracting, onboarding, and developing veterans in their shops, from leveraging military skill sets to creating pathways for long-term growth. Representatives from Hiring Our Heroes will offer practical guidance on accessing veteran talent, understanding common transition challenges, and building a workplace culture where veterans can thrive.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your recruitment strategy, improve retention, or better support the veterans already on your team, this session will provide actionable takeaways and ideas you can start using right away.

Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your coffee--the conversation is informal, interactive, and focused on helping you build a stronger, more resilient workforce.
